Adora Belle Dearheart is cynical, angry and a heavy smoker. Her father, Robert Dearheart founded the Grand Trunk Semaphore Company, and was conned out of it by Reacher Gilt. Adora was forced to work and obtained a post at the Golem Trust.
Adora Belle wears what she claims are "the pointiest heels in the world" which she uses to deal with unwelcome advances.
